…1 “My son, if thou will receive my words, and (1) hide [store up] my commandments with thee;

            (1)Proverbs 4:21

(2) So that thou incline thine ear [pay attention] unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;

            (2)Proverbs 22:17

3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;

4 If (3) thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;

            (3)Proverbs 3:14, Matthew 13:44

(4) Then shalt thou understand the fear [reverence] of the LORD [Jehovah, self-Existent One], and find the knowledge of God.

            (4)James 1:5-6

6 For (5) the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

            (5)1 Kings 3:9, James 1:5, Job 32:8

7 He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: (6) he is a buckler [shield] to them that walk uprightly.

            (6)Psalm 84:11

8 He keepeth the paths of judgment [justice], and preserveth (7) the way of his saints [faithful to Him].

            (7)1 Samuel 2:9, Psalm 66:9

9 Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.”
