Have You Received the Greatest Christmas Present?

THE GREATEST CHRISTMAS PRESENT!

The greatest Christmas present to mankind was the birth of Jesus Christ - the Messiah.

I woke up this morning with hubby telling me he got a text message - a friends mother (elderly) went Home to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ late last night.

God has reminded me this morning in my mourning...

"But I would not have you to be ignorant brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that you sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 KJV)

["as others which have no hope" = those who have NOT repented of their sins and have NOT trusted Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour]
["them also which sleep in Jesus" = those who HAVE repented of their sins and asked Jesus Christ to be their personal Saviour]

"For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." (Philippians 1:21 KJV)

[Striving to be Christlike each day even failing God at times, there is a Home called Heaven and at the moment of death, is gain for a Christian when faith becomes sight and we see Jesus Christ face to face]

"He will swallow up death in victory: and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces, and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it." (Isaiah 25:8 KJV)

[Death for a Christian is victory - over this cruel sin-laden "world". Christ defeated death which promised victory for every believer - there are two deaths - physical death (separation of the soul from the physical body - brief until the rapture) and spiritual death (separation of the person from God for eternity)]

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life." (John 5:24 KJV)

[Believing on Jesus Christ, repenting of sin, asking Him to forgive us, and being forgiven by Him for all sins in our lives) He gives the gift of salvation and no longer holds sin against us that does severs unbelievers from the presence of God for ETERNITY. If you hear (audibly or by reading His words), believe that He (Christ - the Messiah) is Who He says He is (Saviour for all mankind), He will graciously and mercifully save you from an eternity separated from Him, will not hold your sins against you to condemn you, and you will pass from death (physically and spiritually) into eternal life and not eternal death]

My friends mother's soul was spiritually intact having a relationship with God based on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Her body experienced physical death late last night; but, her eternal soul with a new body was immediately in the presence of Jesus Christ, her Personal Saviour. Her "faith has become sight."

What a Christmas present!

I pray that everyone who reads this has experienced forgiveness and salvation - the gift of Jesus Christ (the reason Christmas is celebrated). If you haven't, I pray you will hear, believe, repent of your sins, and ask Jesus Christ to save you from eternal separation from Him.

What a Christmas present!
