“Personal Faith in Jesus Christ”

Over and over in this set of studies on What Makes an Individual a
Christian the one most important personal factor in salvation is faith. Without faith
salvation is unattainable and out of reach.
Ephesians 2:8-10 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and
that not of yourselves” it is the gift of God:”
Without faith there is no salvation. It is not a faith in any
thing or anyone else other than Jesus Christ. It is not a faith devoted to an
institution or organized religion or persons other than oneself where thereby a
person can gain salvation. It must be sincere personal
faith in the object of faith,
Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith it
is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God
must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that
diligently seek him.”
A personal faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, brings
forgiveness of sin, and the promise of God for everlasting life.
Faith comes from
being exposed to the word of God:
Romans 10:17 “So then faith cometh by hearing, and
hearing by the word of God.”
Biblically,
Jesus Christ is the only Way to salvation:
Acts 4:12 “Neither is there salvation in any
other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we
must be saved.”
One must only
believe (faith in action) on Jesus Christ for salvation:
Acts 16:30-31 “And they said, Believe on the Lord
Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.”
It is through
faith on is saved:
Ephesians 2:8 “For by grace are ye saved through
faith; and that not of yourselves; it
is the gift of God.”
Salvation is
available for anyone who believes:
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Salvation is a gift from God to one who places their active
personal faith in Jesus Christ as their Personal Saviour.
